Sand Blasting

It is majorly done for the rolls of reduction passages. Sand Blasting process is used to achieve desired roughness on surface of the rolls . Grinding process of the rolls is carried out prior to sand blasting. The roughness created by sand blasting on the outer surface of the reduction rolls helps to avoid slippage of the material through the pair of rolls in order to achieve proper grinding.
